Hi everyone,

I am wondering how the Redoubt figures (British and Zulu) for the Anglo Zulu war compare to the Black Tree Design figures primarily in terms of size. The Black Tree Design are larger than Empress. Thanks for any comments and your time.

They go together well. I think the BTDs are better sculpts.

Redoubt has some really nice poses and were decent sculpts in my opinion. Their casting quality however was very uneven.

Very compatible. Both are on the larger size.

Aggie21,
I have about 40 or 50 BTD Zulus that I bought years ago. I started to paint them then I realized they are way to big for my 300 or so Foundry Zulus. They are all based & about half way painted. Some with rifles, maybe 10, the rest are assegai armed. Great figs just too big for me. Might you be interested? How about $1.50 USD per fig?

BTD excellent figures. Also often have up to 50% sale so each figure costs about 70p.

Thanks everyone for responding. This helps quite bit. The photos are especially helpful, Brian. Those figs look terrific. Peter, thank you for the offer but I have a bunch of BTD Zulus as Schoie indicated through their 50% off sales. I am very pleased with them but was wanting to fit in some of the unique poses of the Redoubt to compliment the BTD, if they were compatible.
