So, how exactly does one keep from flying off of a magic carpet, during acceleration, deceleration, turns, and other maneuvers? Inquiring minds would like to know. |

A great set of rules for flying carpet games is Jamie Davis' Future Race here: link It was originally designed for pod racing like in Star Wars Crapisonde I, but it has been adapted to flying carpets air boats, and other races. The game is a hoot! |

Not sure how relevant this is to a fairly light hearted discussion but The Black Company books by Glen Cook had lots of descriptions of magic carpet rides and some of them were really quite scary for the narrator Croaker. |
