I always wanted a fleet of Chris Foss inspired spaceships but can't recall ever seeing anything really like them.

Looks kind of Homeworld-ish. I seem to remember some Homeworld-themed miniatures on Shapeways. Regards, Scott Chisholm |

@Nukesnipe: They should. Chris Foss was a huge influence on the people who made homeworld. Given that his designs go back to the 70s (if not before – I first saw them as a child in the late 70s, long before "homeworld" was a thing) |

Chris Foss is a legend – his artwork was everywhere in the seventies and eighties. Book covers, SF magazine covers, SF Art books, White Dwarf covers… His incredible blend of impressively rugged – and huge – starships coupled with far more organic designs – seemed the definition of what the future would look like. His web site is here : chrisfossart.com He also illustrated The Joy Of Sex – well, an artist needs to eat y'know. |

Being of a certain age I grew up with 70's sci fi illustration and just love Chris Foss' spaceships! |

@ 20thmaine: I never knew that … I do have a SF novel somewhere that Alex Comfort also wrote, though (Same author as Joy of Sex ). |
