Hi, I've just come from completing adaption of another of my WSS regiments from POW to Beneath the Lily Banners --that is, doubling its size from 9 to 18 figures. This is Barcelona City Infantry Regiment (or simply "La Ciutat" Regiment), that fought on the Allied side between 1705 and 1714.

Barcelona 1

As all of the formerly existing figures showed quite dynamic poses, I've reserved first rank for them, so I've only had to add a second rank of marching figures to it. Most of the figures are Dixon, but it can also be seen some from other makes, such as Essex or Roundway.

Barcelona 2

Despite the regiment's increased numbers, I've chosen not to add a second flag bearer, so the one shown is flying the regimental colours only. Flag is PC drawn and printed on paper, with just some minor enhancement by hand.

Barcelona 3

Nearly all of my Two Crowns units have already been enlargened this way, so that I'm going to start working on yet another Austro-Catalan regiment now.

Cheers,
Lluís

They look great! And a very underplayed front of that vast war too.

Nice to see some Spanish troops and very well painted too. The Spanish campaigns are sorely overlooked

Smcdowell, it's a Catalan regiment. Pretty sure Lluis is up on the difference.

Thanks for your warm comments, Sirs grin

My whole WSS collection including both Two Crowns and Austro-Catalans can be watched here: soldadets.blogspot.com/p/segle-xviii.html (at its current stage, with some of the units still awaiting a BLB adaption). Each picture leads to a separate article and photo show. Website is in Catalan language only, apologies for this!
