Does it use Unit Activation or IGOUGO ? Unit Activation is the only way to go IMO. |

I look forward to having a look at these. One point before I do so, the name is a bit confusing. I tend to think of a skirmish game in general as something based on larger scale figs in fairly small numbers, c25 a side perhaps. Games like Stargrunt, SoB&H etc. I may be alone, but I don't think of 6mm games, with lots of vehicles (even 25 a side!) as a skirmish. It caused me some confusion downloading the rules. That isn't a criticism, just an observation you may or may not find helpful. |

I plan on a Tactical version where a few things are simplified to allow even faster play with greater numbers of units and even later than that a space version. They will be linked and easy to swap from one to the other. |

Tactical scale will start with 2-3x as many units and work it's way up. |

Unit Activations
IGOUGO should be left for children's games like Candy Land … |

Candy 40K? Yuk! Too sickly for my taste! |
Morpheus1975 | 25 Feb 2016 5:10 a.m. PST |
lol, 40K has always been a love/hate thing for many. I used to play it and had some Space Marines. I played every version up to 3rd, including some epic and some Battlefleet. They priced themselves out of my market years ago. |

Some people have some of those old MegaForce minis/toys that they have asked me to write up. Any of you guys have those things? link After that I want to do up the CAV minis since their KS is near completion. |

Watching the videos now. I've always played 40k with epic sized figures because the scale seems better fitted with weapon ranges. For big game with many players IGOYGO is the only way to keep games moving along. The problem with 40k is the six sided dice. To get away from tables and to balance play, GW has layered roll upon roll-To hit roll, to wound roll, jinx roll, 5+ cover save, invulnerable roll, and on and on. All the dice rolling bogs down big games. I like the idea of die bands to reduce the layers of rolls. |
