As I research the Battle of Kalinga, most of what I've read is about the staggering number of casualties, and Asoka's subsequent adoption of the Buddhist principle of Ahimsa. Unfortunately that tells me little about recreating this battle in 28mm scale! I guess there was a nearby river and a hill. Can anybody tell me anything else about the geography of the battlefield? Tactics used by either side? Could the Kalingans have had a female leader (not that it matters tactically, but it's interesting). |
