Hi Everyone,

I just pulled the trigger and my 15mm sci-fi Kickstarter has gone live!

I tried to keep it a small one, since this is my first Kickstarter. I want to keep it simple so there are as few bumps as possible.

Nice sculpts!

Quick question: can you clarify the pricing for the add on Light, Heavy and Artillery Mechs? The pricing in the description paragraph appears to conflict with the pricing in the infographic photos below it. Either that or I'm totally misinterpreting something…

MechanicalHorizon12 Feb 2016 5:29 p.m. PST

Canuckinator – I knew something would be wrong.

The prices weren't correct, I corrected them to match the ones in the pictures, which are the correct ones.

I'm not sure why they weren't changed earlier, I do recall correcting them a few days ago.

I apologize for the error.

No worries and thanks for the clarification.

Have you thought about marketing these to the 6mm crowd as well? With the Polyversal KS in full swing there are bound to be folks looking for the odd mech or two.

I did mention in a few places that they could also be used for 6mm games as well.

I've been sculpting a bunch of 6mm models for Microworld Games lately so I've been thinking about making some 6mm models in this style as well.

Man these are fantastic.
Is there a way to just sign on or the quadruped?

Kozak – The add-ons are available for all pledge levels above $15 USD, so you can build on a small group of models.

I would like to see some in 6mm, and I love the drones!

MechanicalHorizon13 Feb 2016 6:17 p.m. PST

Commanderroj – You could use the current models for large mechs in 6mm games, but the Tank stretch goal wold be far too large.

I do plan in the future to expand the range, so 6mm is a definite possibility.

commanderroj14 Feb 2016 6:04 a.m. PST

I do play 15mm too. I like the idea of the Tank as a grav vehicle, maybe with just a couple of winglets on either side. I really like the drones though. I would definitely get the,if they were available separately.

These look great… backed!

MechanicalHorizon16 Feb 2016 12:00 p.m. PST

Hi Everyone,

I made a few revisions to the stretch goals to make them a bit more reasonable.

I altered the stretch goal for the drone down to $1,000 USD, the Hovertank Mech down to $2,000 USD and added a new stretch goal.

The new Stretch Goal at $700 USD is a Command & Control turret option for the artillery mech. Its inspired by the Schenkel Ma.K model.

Here's a WIP of the turret:

Postage cost to Australia?

MechanicalHorizon17 Feb 2016 9:01 p.m. PST

Kozak – I estimated the shipping cost from the USPS website and added $20 USD for international shipping, but that is by regular 1st Class mail.

If you want Priority Mail shipping by small flat rate box it would be $35. USD

I think the 1st Class mail option is better since the shipping times aren't very different, but also neither method offers tracking. You only get tracking with Express Mail, and that can run around $60 USD for international shipping to Australia.

commanderroj19 Feb 2016 5:38 a.m. PST

A question about postage. I live in the UK. Our customs threshold is £15.00 GBP Won delivery, will the products be marked up with a cost exclusive of postage? If I order, I want to come in under £15.00 GBP Postage is not included for customs purposes and I don't want the goods o look like they cost more than they do by the inclusion of postage costs.

MechanicalHorizon19 Feb 2016 11:13 a.m. PST

Commanerro – I don't include the cost of postage when stating the value of the goods for shipping purposes.

Very helpful!

Here are pics of the (mostly) finished C&C Mech. I might add some more detail to it, but overall it's pretty much done.

Used mostly for collecting battle data and directing troops to where they are most needed. It usually stays back on the battlefield, armed only with a small anti-infantry weapon.

Just went to pledge and saw the KS was cancelled.
Are there plans to still go ahead?

MechanicalHorizon04 Mar 2016 10:20 p.m. PST

Kozak – I'll be revisiting the range, I've got several other alien races I've been sculpting so I'll probably do one larger KS for all of them.
