How many bridges do you have for miniature wargaming? Only finished models/projects count.

Old Contemptibles11 Feb 2016 1:04 p.m. PST

Way too many. I will count them tonight and let you know.

MajorB11 Feb 2016 1:04 p.m. PST

Dunno. About half a dozen?

Waco Joe11 Feb 2016 1:24 p.m. PST

C'mon guys, there's only one right answer:

Seven, all on one road.

53Punisher11 Feb 2016 1:55 p.m. PST

Several, in various configurations.

redbanner414511 Feb 2016 2:07 p.m. PST

6

freerangeegg11 Feb 2016 2:12 p.m. PST

At least 12, you can never have too many.

olicana11 Feb 2016 2:20 p.m. PST

Six.

Blimey, only six and they only go over certain rivers – two over NWE narrow, two over NWE big, one pontoon over NWE narrow, one over arid.

That's not enough is it?

Funny, even with a 12 x 6 that always seems enough (if repetitive looking).

Food for thought, how many do you need?

Good question Bill, one of your better ones.

Please don't do windmills, it drives the anal types crazy. They just love the whirly-bits and then we get into gears, cloth Vs wood, rotational, fixed, don't do it…………..

Patrick Sexton Supporting Member of TMP11 Feb 2016 2:30 p.m. PST

Four and a half.

Pictors Studio11 Feb 2016 2:30 p.m. PST

I have at least 7 that I can think of.

RavenscraftCybernetics11 Feb 2016 2:31 p.m. PST

I don't like to use it because its a tab too long….

Gonsalvo11 Feb 2016 2:46 p.m. PST

3 Resin (2 stone, one wood)
1 Metal (wood)
9 scratch built (7 wood, 1 stone, 1 whitewashed)

And I *still* had to borrow a bridge or two for my Ligny game last year!

jpattern211 Feb 2016 3:19 p.m. PST

At least a dozen in 2mm, 6mm, 15mm, and 28mm.

Ed Mohrmann Supporting Member of TMP11 Feb 2016 3:22 p.m. PST

cosmicbank11 Feb 2016 4:57 p.m. PST

vdal181211 Feb 2016 5:11 p.m. PST

2. One in 28mm and one in 15mm.

tshryock11 Feb 2016 5:35 p.m. PST

I think all I have is a H&M era pontoon bridge I made a few years ago and have never used. There's a bridge molded onto one of my Miniature Worldmaker river sections, if that counts.

Personal logo Parzival Supporting Member of TMP11 Feb 2016 5:50 p.m. PST

War Panda for the win.

Shockingly, I have NONE!

Been looking for a good 10mm generic stone or wooden one with enough inner width for a Warmaster 40mm base. But admittedly I haven't been looking all that determinedly, 'cause I'm sure they're out there. (Of course, I'm also cheap…)

Frederick Supporting Member of TMP11 Feb 2016 6:02 p.m. PST

2 – both stone

Wackmole911 Feb 2016 6:10 p.m. PST

9 right now

4 railroad bridge for ww2
3 Stone brdges (resin)
2 Wood Bridges

jtkimmel11 Feb 2016 6:46 p.m. PST

7 I think, 3 for 6mm, 2 for 15mm, 2 for 28mm if I'm remembering right, all stone
One thing I cannot seem to find is ruined ends of a 28mm stone bridge (suitable for 28mm WW2)

Mooseworks811 Feb 2016 7:30 p.m. PST

4

Two of them in 6mm, the other two are 15mm and 28mm.

epturner11 Feb 2016 7:41 p.m. PST

Just one, too far…

Eric

cfielitz11 Feb 2016 8:07 p.m. PST

3, all scratch built.

Baranovich11 Feb 2016 8:09 p.m. PST

Two, both resin. One is an Armorcast medieval stone bridge I use for fantasy games. The other one is a Hovels 18th/19th Century stone bridge with wood planking I use for AWI historical games.

I have learned after many years to keep my terrain collection at a more manageable level, and that I end up using only a few pieces of each type of terrain for most games.

That and not wanting my collection to overwhelm my living space.

vtsaogames11 Feb 2016 8:28 p.m. PST

5 or 6.

Early morning writer11 Feb 2016 9:59 p.m. PST

not enough

KSmyth11 Feb 2016 10:10 p.m. PST

Not a ton. Maybe 5 or 6

snurl111 Feb 2016 10:16 p.m. PST

1 resin bridge too far.

Grelber11 Feb 2016 11:43 p.m. PST

Two--one kindly built for me by a fellow gamer, one from the store.
Probably need some in 15mm, as well as a couple more for 28mm.

Grelber

Martin Rapier12 Feb 2016 12:11 a.m. PST

Three resin, four metal, one scratch built and a rather hacked around Airfix pontoon bridge which has been used in many different configurations.

Rich Bliss12 Feb 2016 2:53 a.m. PST

Four. Three resin and one homemade from foam core. Thinking about picking up one or two MUF next.

Dexter Ward12 Feb 2016 5:13 a.m. PST

About 5 stone, 3 wooden, one steel girder, one pontoon.

Yesthatphil12 Feb 2016 5:24 a.m. PST

More than I'd have thought now you ask … Pushing a dozen probably depending how you count them …

Oh, _those_ kind?
About 6-8, a couple of stone, a couple of wood.
Windmills, Olicana/Sancho? Nay, they are not windmills, they are giants! My lance, Sancho! Forward, Rocinante! Charrrrrrrrrrge!

Greg G112 Feb 2016 11:39 a.m. PST

Off hand I think I have 14, all 6mm of various lengths and widths. Some wooden, some brick and steel, most though are stone bridges. Also one Pegasus Bridge and a pontoon bridge.

ACWBill12 Feb 2016 11:50 a.m. PST

40-50 in scales ranging from 6mm up to 28mm.
