HI there, I have seen on-line the Brigade Games 3 Musketeers as well as the offerings from Blue Moon and Redoubt. I don't like the poses of the Warbase figures, too static and wierd looking Cardinal Guards.

Now I have heard the Redoubt minis are bigger then the others. Does anyone have a comparision photo?

I ask because I can not seem to find barmaids with serving trays and tankards other then the Redoubt line.

Are there any opthers options for figures of the period that woudl work in a bar scene?

Or another line of figs that I missed and no I do not want to go with 40mm.

Help,
GG

Will the Redoubt figures mix with the other lines?

I went and grabbed one of my Redoubt Musketeers and one of my Hasslefree female chars from my modern vigilantes game. Personally I think they mix fine. The Redoubt is somewhat bigger but he has that big hat plus baggy clothes and she is wearing skin fitting clothes, no hat.

BTW, love those Reaper bar maids but I don't own any of that company so don't know how they would compare.

Hope this helps! My Redoubt Musketeers collection is my favorite skirmish one. I think you'd like them.

You should also know that the Redoubt figures are multi-part figures.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I did find some painted figures on ebay that appear to be brigade miniatures. I bought those before I posted so I have 4 cardinals guard along with 3 kings musketeers with a young swordsman. I also got Rochefort and the Cardinal.

So what I need are extras.

If I started from scratch I would have bought Blue Moon. However Blue Moon are missing the character figures that they do have in the 18mm line. Black Hat have neat figures in their own way but are missing anyone without a weapon. Brigade also have none without weapons that would work for me. So I guess my question is will Redoubt civilians work with reg size 28mm? Part of me feels guilty for buying the painted ones on ebay but they looked good and are ready to play. I would have gone with Blue Moon in 18mm for all the variety.

I have the redoubt musketeers…they are very large but will mix well with the other redoubt ECW range that can be mined for useful figures and also with Renegade and Bicorne's ECW. They are probably okay with First Corp's 30yw range too.

Thanks Bruton boy, would you have any of the serving wenches or bartenders from Redoubt? Would they be too large for the other lines like Brigade etc.?

I don't have any Redoubt, but in the past the other ranges I have seen like the ACW range were bigger than 28mm.

I found a set online from Ral Partha, Bartender Barmaids & Bouncer. Of course not in the flesh so I can't compare with the Brigade minis but I think they would work.

Changed my mind. With shipping it is $20 USD a pack for 3 figures of which 2 the Bouncer I don't need. So I ordered a few figures from Redoubt and will see how they fit with the others.

Never did ever get my figures to complete my set from Redoubt miniatures. I ordered in mid Feb. Never received them, they took forever to respond. Finally said they would ship weeks later after ordering. Over 2.5 months later I start a paypal dispute and today they refund my money.

I'm pissed as I ordered 100 bucks worth of stuff furniture etc. From another company. Redoubt would have completed my set of required figures for my 3 musketeer rules. Talk about having the wind taken out of my sails on my project.

Grrrrrrrrr. Not happy.
