I'd just like to let you all know that myself and Phil from Spirit Games are getting closer together. Like another famous couple of the moment this should be completed by Friday but may well be put off by a day (more to do with carpet fitters and moving stock than Popes).

There will now be three shops in the Spirit Empire! The Boardgame/Family Games shop remains largely unaltered. Next door to that is Phil's new shop devoted to Fantasy and Role-Playing. The original shop across the road will be devoted to historical gaming, my second-hand figures and painting services.

After 25 years working from home its a big change - I'll have to shave everyday for a start. I'll still be doing the shows as usual but also hope to see a few of you turn up at the shop in the coming months.

thanks for your indulgence Bill

Bill,

I've ordered almost all my historical miniatures and as much of my wargaming supplies from Spirit Games for several years. I hope the arrangement works well for both you and Phil. I look forward to further purchases, as well as Spirit Games' excellent service in the future.

Best Regards,

Good to hear that small games shops are surviving and doing well here in the UK. Nice one and good luck.

I'd be even more pleased if Phil was re-opening a shop in Croydon...

Killer Bob,
Come and visit us some time - you don't know what you're missing. Coors might own just about everything now but Burton is still the brewing capital of Britain. Beer and Pretzels would be a good time (May 14/15)

I'll make it up there one day! Only ever hear good things about you.

The "Coors" take-over isn't good news though. I hear they've even changed the name of the museum.

But I still think you should make my life easier by moving Phil back down to Croydon! It isn't much to ask for is it? We don't have much left, only a GW, and our last brewery closed in the 1960s. Take pity...
