Very nice but Constitution had a split dolphin striker (the only one of her class I believe). |

jowady: Yes, I know… unfortunately langton miniatures dont have these pieces …. It is an approximation. I wanted to do this piece but due to the tension of the strings I can not because it is constantly break up. |

While I realize that it is too late you can make it with brass wire, that's what I did on mine. |

I do not "do" ships prior to 1939, but this is an exception. I was impressed by the first pictures, but then saw the ship next to the pen. I called in Mrs F and she cried out "Oh, my God, that is incredible"….now, in our early courting days, she would often…oh forget it. The waves, the ship, the crew………….Perfect Six ..eat your heart out (he does buttons on 6mm figures…this is another step) |

jowady: I add a link where you can see that I refer link These strings are tightened and I need a solid piece, I do not think sticking a piece of wire will support all the tension. Everything depends on the method you use. It is clear that now I am not going to change the piece ; ) Anyway thanks for the advice! |

By the way, this boat is not an order, forms part of the stock. No owner for now ; ) |

Fantastic! Crew, boats, anchors… Wow! What a model. This is the best work I've seen from you, and that means it's as good as it gets! More! Bravo! (I almost hate to mention one possible criticism: unless you have sources telling you otherwise, I don't think Constitution EVER carried a spritsail; the sprits'l yard was fixed in place and just there to help with rigging) |

KniazSuvorov: Thank you for your words. I was inspired by this page to make the boat. link |
