Hi,

I'm looking for good sources on the Baltic battles of the Northern Seven Years War. Is there anything available in English, French… Spanish?

Cheers,

KC

The only author who has covered the subject in some part in English is the sadly late Swedish historian Jan Glete who did considerble research on the subject of the Swedish navy in the 16th and 17th Centuries.

RC Anderson's "Naval Wars in the Baltic" is worth a look.

That was a very good if short account of the naval war, impressed at the sources that Anderson collected and read, basicly he had all the best Swedish and Danish published sources available at the time. Thanks for the link.

Thanks.

I have Anderson's "Naval Wars in the Baltic" and Glete's "Warfare at Sea" that are good sources for battles and tactics and managed to preview Glete's "Swedish Naval Administration, 1521-1721" that has a lot of information about ships and organization.
