Hi all, I wonder if anyone can help me with this problem, I am building a Moroccan brigade for the SCW and want to include some anti tank guns in it. What I want to know is, would the Moroccans have their own guns and gunners or would they be attached from European artillery units. Thanks in advance for any help, all the best, Dave.

Spanish troops usually Legion. I have no doubt Peninsular Army types were also used.

Mostly Spanish gunners, though I suppose some Moors would be present in batteries?? Some Moroccan units may even be supported by Condor legion, certainly at Jarama the Moors had German artillery and machine gun support.

There was still a major level of distrust between the Spanish and their Moroccan "allies" which goes back to incidents during the Rif Wars when Regulares and police units changed sides and attacked their former Spanish allies. Usually machine guns were manned by Spanish personnel also for the same reasons, though as the war went on these restrictions were lessened.

Thanks very much lads that's great info, even more so as it means I don't have to do head transplants on 10mm figures. All the best, Dave.
