Hi folks. Anyone can tell me is the achilles of ready to roll has pieces of metal? All the model is made of resine?

wrgmr108 Feb 2016 11:34 p.m. PST

I know the Britannia one has metal tracks, gun barrel and 50 cal.
I think the RtR has a resin barrel and tracks.

IF I remember correctly it is all resin, except the gun/mantlet and the crew heads , which are metal

Thanks. I,m afraid if the tank falls to the ground!!!!
I'll get some britania models; crusader aa,achilles, and challenger.

I don't know about the Achilles, but I have a RtR Panther and its gun barrel is white metal.

As for dropping them, any model is likely to suffer damage when dropped. The trick is not to do so!

Thanks. But for tank i'll buy britannia. And anyone has rtr crusader aa?

wrgmr109 Feb 2016 1:03 p.m. PST

I have the RtR version, comes with metal guns and commander.
Nice model.

Interesting, @PIPERS as the Britannia tanks that I have are made of the same materials as the RTR ones… the main difference is that the RTR ones come with an integral base

I agree Fozman, but most of the larger Britannia tracked vehicles have metal tracks, hatches and gun barrels.
Small vehicles such as the Hotchkiss based German SP guns have resin tracks and metal gun barrels.

RtR are all resin, one piece hull/tracks and a separate turret. Guns are metal. Some have separate metal hatches,
Britannia are going increasingly to hull/tracks as one piece, but some of the kits are as they were originally, resin hull and separate metal tracks. Guns always metal.

Small vehicles such as the Hotchkiss based German SP guns have resin tracks and metal gun barrels.

I have around twenty of these models. They all have metal tracks.
