Wondering how early could the Goth range produced by Musketeer/Footsore Miniatures be used. I get the feeling they are designed for the 5th century could be pushed back to Adrianpole (378 AD). But could they be used for the Goths of the first half of the 4th century or even at the end of the 3rd? Thanks for any information.

Well I'm using them for the latter end of the third century.

Buckle counters be damned.

I have plans to use them along with some Gripping Beast plastic "Dark Age Warriors" for a Gothic force I am building up for late 4th century battles to face the Late Imperial Romans I have been working on.

They seem to go along with the Osprey books I have covering the period.

I'd use the unarmored Gothic/Germanic infantry w/o helmets, unarmored Gothic cav and Gothic noble cav for late 3rd and early 4th centuries
