A few shots are attached of my upcoming Mississippi Riverine action using lots of Thoroughbred, Bay Area Yards and Peter Pig's Hammerin' Iron ranges. Terrain was finished this past weekend.
Hope you enjoy, Bill crackerlineminis.com |

Very nice, Bill. You running this at Cold Wars? Eric |

I will not be able to attend Cold Wars Eric. Perhaps Fall In will be on the calendar in 2016. |

I like how you have done the smoke from the vessel chimneys. Could you share your technique? OBW |

That one is fairly simple. I take cotton and hit it with black spray primer fairly liberally. Once dry, I pull off small bits and twirl the ends into small funnel shapes. Place a dot of super glue on the top of the stack and push the tip of the cotton into the funnel top. Once that dries in a few minutes, pull back on the ends, while holding the part that adheres to the funnel. Remove until they stay aloft, looking as if they are wind-blown. |

Bill; Sorry to hear that. I think Commodore Landis should reprise his role for this game and take it up the Wazoo again… Eric |

Just for fun, here is a shot of CSS Missouri and an unnamed sinking US Tinclad. |

Bill – how did you model the sinking tinclad? It's got quite a list developing – that's a nice effect! |
ACWBill | 10 Feb 2016 4:53 a.m. PST |
I can't claim any credit for the list. Peter Pig sells sinking vessels and the list is built-in. I simply painted, added the base and water effects and then did the smoke as I noted above, this time giving the parts nearest the stack some flames. |
