The next meeting of the 18th Century Imagi-Nations Campaign is going to be held on Feb 27. The title lists the battle which was engendered by the intentions given to me at the conclusion of "The Battle of Picknikov." Sean )Bad Zu Wurst) made an attack on Billy of one brigade on raiding-punitive expedition. Billy, King of Flounce, said that he was putting a "paper mache statue of his king on the throne and going off to Sweeta to look for a new mistress. He was still chagrined about the Gulagian Army crashing his picnic. Pete and George (Swinnland and Gulagia respectively) did things that did not conflict with any other power and will be resolved independently. Norm who is "The Never-Neverlands" said he was going to side with any who were going to attack a player who was ahead in the game. As that Was Billy who has 5 Victory points, I ruled that he would send a brigade to help Sean.

Sean made a mistake in only sending one brigade which Billy countered with two. Norm's intention thus evens it up.

Each side will chose in secret what their brigades will be. Neither has any special troops so it will be either an infantry, elite, cavalry, artillery, wagon, or engineer brigade.

The terrain will be a bit more closed in. The Bad Zu Wurstians will start in Schnotzdorf, and with their Never, Neverlandian allies will cross the river and go through the woods to pillage Grandma's House. They have six objectives to occupy (and pillage) including the town of Fleu D'Coupe.

All of the reports in the previous post on the battle of Picknicov, including the campaign report, the "purple prose version" of the analytical Campaign report, and the battle report on the battle, including the "Purple Prose" report of that are now run up in two full color 16 page 8 1/2 by 11" booklets (with maps and lots of photos). These can be had for postage and a little bit extra for copies.

It was written today, at the conclusion of the Grand Military Parade, that the cavalry brigades of Bad Zu Wurst returned whole and victorious after breaking across a river, pushing the Flouncian infantry and canon off the high ridge line and eventually flushing the cowards out of the forests and into the open 'rough' terrain. They had no recourse for retreat (or it was fast, an avenue closing) as a flank attack was successfully launched into the right rear quarter of the Flounce province. Grandma's house was being defended by a lone, ragged Flouncian regiment of foot against two elite cavalry and complete victory was soon to be had (reports later surfaced that the Flouncians even considered setting fire to their own woods to cover their ignominious retreat)… but it was not to happen as night fell and we moved back across the river to Bad Zu Wurst, successful in knowing that our forces are indeed superior to our neighbor.
