That's right, space possums! Due to popular demand we're extending our 20% off sale until the 29th of February so more people can take advantage of the discount offer!

Just enter the special sale code 76d9bfd662 at checkout and save 20% off of the cost of the minis (discount is taken before shipping is calculated):

The shopping cart on your website is not working properly, I can get in but it will not advance past the first page.

Looks like we're experiencing some issues with shipping to Canadian customers due to some frankly inane (and insane) quirk within the shipping calculator. Please stand by, as we are awaiting further from our demolition I mean technical experts…

Do you no longer sell the books for SD?

TheBeast Supporting Member of TMP08 Feb 2016 11:54 a.m. PST

I THINK they've been out of print for quite awhile. I've heard rumors of re-working and re-release, and request for playtesting.

There's a heck of a lot of stuff on the secondary market. I assume releasing new ships is keeping the venture going.

My wondering is how much support is going into Bladestorm, and how much interest there is in it.

I suppose Leland will just call me a whiny little… ;->=

@CorpsCommander, the books are all available as PDFs via our shop at RPGNow:

We hope to work up higher resolution files enabling hard copies to be printed through RPGNow, however at the moment we must still work with what we inherited from the fall of ICE… *sad*

@Doug, no, I don't call you much of anything except *Doug,* and you'd be pleasantly surprised how much interest there is in Bladestorm, and better still, how much love is still out there for Silent Death (over 250 ships have departed for Australia already since we launched this sale, just for one example…)…

Don't count us out just yet, as the party has finally just begun to get started… and yes, we're working behind the scenes to get some new hulls out there, and perhaps even somehow manage the costs and logistics necessary to bring back the 3 to 1 resign ship models including releasing a host of 3 to 1s never previously released for sale… evil grin

I am still getting the issue of when I go to checkout the cart will not advance to complete the order. The complete next step button is not working properly.

toddwag09 Feb 2016 6:48 p.m. PST

I can't advance my order either. Seems like it is having a problem with shipping.

BlackWidowPilot Fezian10 Feb 2016 3:02 p.m. PST

Gang,

we have discovered to our great frustration that our online store platform (Zen Cart) has an inherent limitation; it automatically and stubbornly defaults to shipping within the US. As a consequence we're (1) working on a solution for our Canadian customers so they don't get slammed with shipping cost estimates over twice what they should be paying, and (2) bringing the online system back up for everyone else to use in the short term until we get this frankly insane problem fixed.

I have just been informed that the webstore should be working as it was before we uncovered this bug. We ask our Canadian customers to please bear with us as we develop a solution.

Everyone else should be able to proceed with their orders as normal. If you run into any problems PM me via TMP or e-mail me directly at my personal address: BlackWidowPilot at mac.com and I will alert our IT troubleshooter.

Again, please bear with us and rest assured that we're not going to stop until we get this problem fixed.

Deepest condolences, Leland.

Have felt the frustration, and it's got me a tad off just remembering. Empathy is always stronger than sympathy.

Important point: do NOT pick up the box/tech/phone and slam to the ground. Personal experience.

Okay, no techs were harmed in this flash back.

Doug,

well, slamming the phone down does occasionally result in a new basis for a grav tank or AFV, so it's not *always* bad… evil grin

OK. After applying a combination of IT skills, The Force, and a pound of C-4 the system is running as it was before. We're able to process orders for all customers except it would seem our Canadian friends. THAT we are working on as well; we may very well contractually empower RAFM Miniatures to sell exclusively to Canadian address buyers only, while we handle all others.

Meanwhile, the sale continues until February 29! evil grin

Thanks for the updates Leland, and trying to work through things for us trouble-making Canadians (or at least me).

BlackWidowPilot Fezian17 Feb 2016 12:09 p.m. PST

@boy wundyr x, yup. We're incorrigible here at Metal Express! We're still trying to figure out a solution for our Canadian fans…

So far we managed to add a wider range of USPS shipping options, but again, the silly thing *insists* on calculating as if shipping to and from is for customers in the US… Grrrrr!

Now, you could try again and report back what the system is trying to extort out of you, and we could thrash out some sort of credit or refund of the difference to make it up to you…. PM or email me and we'll talk about what you would prefer, as I would hate to have you or anyone else of the Canadian persuasion miss out on our sale!

Thanks Leland, I'll go see if my cart is still there under my account and what the shipping options and costs are.
