My first order for the Thoroughbred 1/1200 scale Civil War (the American one) range arrived in the post yesterday. Pics and a bit of a review on my blog:

Toby's stuff is simply the best out there, IMHO. Those are some beauties!

I have often been stunned by the beauty of Toby's work, but never disappointed.

I have dozens of his ships, you will never be disappointed.

Gee I had no idea that these existed and after reading this eagerly went to Thoroughbred's site to find the. I was just about to give up when I saw them listed under "Odds and Ends".

I have a bunch, and love 'em. My poor painting can't do justice to his work.

Guys,
Got back home last night from the Williamsburg Muster and read your comments and remarks. Thank you Darryl for the blog mention,,,,and thank you all. The 1/1200 range started as an experiment with a couple of new entities and facets, so I started a second batch which, hopefully, will be ready in another 5-6 weeks. I did not want to start a full blown market campaign until at least the second batch completion. Then I'll set them up on the web site better with photos and such. I will make announcements and such at that time I promise.
The goal was to have an initial dozen plus – along with some new 1/600 items as well – by Historicon timeframe, so it looks very good to surpass that number well before then.
Again, thank you all for your very kind remarks.
