after 20 years i played a small wargame scenario for that dramatic but interesting moment of history i'm again planning a new game…with the use of proxy plastic units (like Revel WW2 winter US troops for the Argentines ecc…) i would try to reproduce a full battle…having found again this one on the net dealing with Sector Plata..(the outer Stanley defense decisive breaking) and after having motivated a friend a mine to paint something ..i would like to have a try

the game is designed for my favourite rule set..Rapid Fire of which i'm sufficiently familiar ..but..looking at the British Order Of Battle i did'nt understand, also after many hours or research, the RF scaled composition of a British Company (both RM and Paras)
from the scenario text:

3 Companies: 8 figures (1 LAW, 2 LAD)

what LAD does meaning?…i find the same on a British General scaled TOE by the same author..but what does it signify?..mayne a Light MG or another Disposable Missile?

thanks for your help

many thanks D A THB
so from what i understand..i game therms they could be 2 figures to be employed principally in minefields clearance

ITALWARS06 Feb 2016 3:36 p.m. PST

in fact..i discovered another clue…but still no understanding of the nature of this misterious LAD?
in paragraph 7 "MISCELLANEOUS WEAPONS AND THEIR EFFECTS" from Rapid Fire amendment for Modern Combat from which this Falklands scenario originatedd..the author

it appears that LAD stands for a support weapon at company level..but which one?…maybe a Light Antitank Disposable..like a LAW..and , in this case, what is for the author a LAW? which could have "3 shots per game"?

LAD is a Light AT Disposable, an M-72 LAW, the LAW would be an 84mm Carl Gustav launcher.
