Okay, all you long-suffering veterans of innumerable vendors' halls, fleaarkets, basement sales, and gaming jumble sales--what deep-seated primordial urges to purchase are driving you?
Any specific goals? Trying to start or fill out a current figure range? Aching to get your hands on a new set of rules? Dice? Terrain?
Also, what might you bring if someone evinced a desire to puchase it from you?

I need more 28mm Late Imperial Roman Cavalry. I am hoping Footsore miniatures is at Cold Wars so I can get from them. I like the images I see on their website. I have plenty of infantry from Black Tree and Foundry, I am now working on cavalry to balance my army out.

Not going this year…

Hope to have time in the dealer area to look for figures that can be adapted to depict nursery rhymes and fairy tales. A wargame buddy is coming with me this year after having skipped it for several years. Says he wants to be at the last one.

Don't know of you've ever painted up any Footsore – but if you haven't then you're in for a treat. They some of the nicest minis out there and a real pleasure to paint up.

They are normally at the HMGS conventions.

A little bit of this, a little bit of that.

Are they? I think they come with Warlord, which usually just means Historicon. Maybe someone can confirm that.

They were just at Fall In and I do remember them being at Cold Wars. I wasn't at Historicon so I know I didn't see them there :-)

I have no current needs so whatever is cheap and catches my eye in the flea market for impulse buys.

Anybody got stuff they'd bring to barter/sell if interest was present?

Perry 100 Years War plastics…

I'll be looking for some Cigar Box battle mats but otherwise I am good as most of what I want is plastic and with Architects of War gone I expect very little choice now.

The shopping trip is used to be has died down over the years with the demise of Wargames and AoW. With 15mm ancients and medievals picking up again I would love some more options.

Hopefully J&M will come to Cangames and I can stock up there.

I have already spoken to Footsore and they will be there.

Also in the Flea Market, Tree Girl will be back selling another batch of trees and maybe 4 batches of cookies.

Has the list of vendors come out yet? I have a lot of "wants" but need to know who is there to budget money. Example: if flag dude is there need AWI and war of 1813 flags. If knuckleduster is there (which I do not think so) there goes all my money and then some.

Anyone recommend the makers of some relatively generic footsoldier figs for use with Frostgrave (leather or cloth armor, preferably).

Since we don't know what dealers will be there or what new items they will have it really is hard to say at this point in time.

Well now that I've decided that I'm going, I can weigh in. Unfortunately for the vendors, I'm in massive painting mode this year and have no plans for any purchases.

Luckily for the vendors, I have the same wargamer ADD that the rest of us have and may make some surprise purchases at Cold Wars.

So who knows.

Better preorder if you want the ACW. We don't bring them to the show as we sell them as single figures.

Also does anyone know who might have 28mm WW2 US Marines with 50cal HMG teams? I know Warlord and TAG build one.

Take a look a West Wind (they have it listed as a Browning heavy machine gun). Brigade Games has really nice looking Marines with a 30 cal HMG

I hate to be cheap but no shipping is great! I think I bought a mat from you at Fall In – Town Square. I use it allot for Infinity and the guys really like it. Now that I'm branching out to Bolt Action, time for another mat – or two.
