I'm planning to add 5 more tanks to each army so that I can play tank-versus-tank battles, plus all the other support goodies in the pipeline (SP Howitzers, AA tracks, etc.). Gotta have 'em all. My poor wallet. Damn you Battlefront!

vicmagpa105 Feb 2016 1:00 p.m. PST

where did you get the infantry? we are still waiting in the states.

15mm and 28mm Fanatik05 Feb 2016 1:14 p.m. PST

Ebay. I only have the Russians because the Americans are all out of stock right now.

XRaysVision05 Feb 2016 1:21 p.m. PST

I got the infantry from theWarStore but the A-10s, SU-25s, and M113s are backordered.

VonTed05 Feb 2016 1:43 p.m. PST

I have purchased a similar list….. but very little has actually been delivered :(

carne6805 Feb 2016 2:39 p.m. PST

So far I have:

American:
4 x M113/M106
1 x OH58 (1/92 scale from Ace Hobby)

Soviet:
10 x T-72
15 x BMP-1/BMP-2
1 x Motor Rifle Company

McWong7305 Feb 2016 3:09 p.m. PST

3 x Bears box and a Bannon box. By the time I finish painting those the rest of the line should be available.

deleted22222222205 Feb 2016 5:01 p.m. PST

I am building a 1000+ point force for a game I plan on running at Little Wars.

15mm and 28mm Fanatik05 Feb 2016 5:45 p.m. PST

1000 points, wow. That's going to be a real WWIII lasalle012, considering the costliest model in points is the M1 at 8 points. You and your buddies better start painting.

GreenMountainBoy05 Feb 2016 7:21 p.m. PST

I'vegot a Bannon's boys box painted up along with one set of ITV' and
Vads, played my first two games at 50 pints tonight. Wow, this is a fast game! Small units are definitely fragile, I'm looking forward to 75 point games. That said, I really had fun.

Navy Fower Wun Seven06 Feb 2016 12:19 a.m. PST

I'm jealous – I take it you don't live in Australia which is by a very long way the bottom of Battlefront's distribution priority…

(goes off to bang head against wall…)

badger2206 Feb 2016 7:44 a.m. PST

Navy Fower Wun Seven I am west coast USA and all I have gotten so far is a single bears box from BF.

Finaly got fed up and went QRF and OG. I am going to have a bunch more than I need if BF ever bothers to deliver.

kallman06 Feb 2016 10:51 a.m. PST

Our store in Texas has gotten in the Soviet and some limited US infantry. So it is out there. I am still holding off purchasing of the models but like what I see having purchased the rules. Still prefer Force on Force with the Cold War Gone Hot supplement but the players down this way are big Flames of War fans and trying to get folks to try alternatives is just a non-starter. So I will collect Team Yankee at some point.

15mm and 28mm Fanatik07 Feb 2016 12:44 p.m. PST

@badger22,

I'm from SoCal and know what you mean. Ebay is the way to go. I got everything I ordered so far.

chrisswim14 Feb 2016 8:35 a.m. PST

If you are looking for 6mm or 1/285 of GHQ or CinC micro armor to use for Team Yankee. Let me know. I have just helped out a couple guys yesterday for 1980's equipment. M901, M1, M113, M163, SA-13, T-72, Hind-D, Su-25, Cobra, etc.

Old Wolfman09 Mar 2016 8:17 a.m. PST

Picked up a Soviet motor rifle company and an additional platoon of the same, the rulebook and the Soviet paint box. Dealer threw in a pair of objective markers free,at CincyCon. Started spray priming some of them yesterday. Any idea what sort of glue to use to put the metal figures on the plastic stands?

Old Wolfman14 Mar 2016 7:20 a.m. PST

A Soviet motor rifle company and an additional platoon of the same,so far. Also found a platoon of Guards paras or Spetsnaz which could be useful. Got most of my starting stuff at CincyCon from Game Time Miniatures out of Milford,OH.

Old Wolfman16 Mar 2016 7:00 a.m. PST

1 Soviet Motor Rifle Company and 1 Motor Rifle Platoon, set of Objective Markers,Soviet paint box,so far. Am working on getting more. And still working on some scenario ideas for future gaming.

Old Wolfman23 Mar 2016 7:01 a.m. PST

Found some Super Glue, have my Soviet MR figs spray primed and painting currently in progress. Currently looking to order a Potecknov's Bears box ASAP.

Old Wolfman07 Apr 2016 7:23 a.m. PST

Got them Bears. 9 tank company and 2 Hind choppers. Surprisingly, the box also had a paperboard Artillery template inside. Testing my building skills again with my first T-72 chassis from the set. So far,so good. Using Testors glue on the tanks and the choppers. Next up,a box or two of BMP's and other stuff. Work continues on the MR co. personnel.

ScottS07 Apr 2016 10:21 a.m. PST

That's impressive, Lasalle012!

Old Wolfman11 Apr 2016 7:27 a.m. PST

Hinds proving more challenging to put together than planned, particularly, the main rotor to the shaft and the rare earth magnets. Tanks are coming along reasonably OK. Putting at least 1/3 to 1/2 of them in "buttoned up" position. BTW,good work,Lasalle.

deleted22222222213 Apr 2016 9:57 p.m. PST

I have everything finished for the game that I plan on running at Little Wars. For the US I have a Bn TF Tank heavy, based on 2/64AR, for the soviets 2 Tank Bns, 1 BMP-2 Bn, off table artillery, recce company. Also some very generous prize support from Battlefront

Old Wolfman14 Apr 2016 7:33 a.m. PST

Had to trim the main rotor shaft to get that rotor wing support ring over the shaft, paring it to make it thinner. Looks like it worked. Good paint job should cover any Snafus. Am looking to add on ASAP.

Old Wolfman06 May 2016 7:26 a.m. PST

Am waiting for delivery of some BMP's,spray paint, and tokens. Doing some touch ups on my Soviet gravel crunchers and T-72s.

Old Wolfman10 May 2016 6:46 a.m. PST

BMP's delivered Monday the 9th.

Old Wolfman11 May 2016 6:52 a.m. PST

Am building the BMP's in the BMP-2 type, except for 1 which I'll likely make into a 1 for an artillery OP vehicle.

Old Wolfman11 May 2016 6:55 a.m. PST

Also just found out that they have a Team Yankee game scheduled for Origins this year

Old Wolfman17 May 2016 7:35 a.m. PST

BMP's assembled,painting in progress.

Old Wolfman18 May 2016 7:05 a.m. PST

…and coming along fairly decent.

Eumerin18 May 2016 10:23 p.m. PST

Time to start planning on which West Germans you want to add…

Old Wolfman19 May 2016 7:16 a.m. PST

So I noticed.

Old Wolfman20 Jun 2016 7:23 a.m. PST

Picked up some more T-72's(2 boxes) and another box of BMP's while at Origins. Battlefront Miniatures was there ;had some games going and FoW/TY stuff for sale too.

Old Wolfman22 Jun 2016 7:19 a.m. PST

Nearly finished with the new BMPs,enough for a full MR company and a 2 vehicle recon platoon. And with the added T-72s,2 9 tank companies with the KomBat's tank(19 total )

Old Wolfman24 Jun 2016 7:11 a.m. PST

And a pair of Hinds(so far). Artillery will likely be next on my shopping list.

CavScout8thCav25 Jun 2016 3:47 p.m. PST

Old Wolfman27 Jun 2016 7:43 a.m. PST

Am assembling the additional T-72's(5 so far).

Old Wolfman28 Jun 2016 7:15 a.m. PST

Make that 7 and counting. 3 to go.

*lasalle012
Its like falling into 'plastic armor heaven' (sigh)

I dont blame a lot of guys going the 285/6mm route for this game, you can put so much more on the table. But theres just something COOL about having this scale when playing armor (still recall my Airfix 1/72 days).

Great to see that 3 of the starting units for the West Germans are also in plastic.
Im just not comfortable w/ resin, having never worked with any.

Old Wolfman30 Jun 2016 6:56 a.m. PST

Tanks assembled. Next-the paint job. Decals will be a bit of a challenge.

Old Wolfman30 Jun 2016 7:00 a.m. PST

BTW- I cut my wargaming teeth on modern micro-armor.

Old Wolfman05 Oct 2016 7:20 a.m. PST

Added the Soviet artillery salvo template, and some WW2 Soviet partisans(likely useful for other scenarios including for TY)Might see about those Brits, possibly.

Old Wolfman06 Oct 2016 6:58 a.m. PST

May have to replace some of my motor rifle troops, some of the parts broke off after taking a tumble last night.

svsavory07 Oct 2016 4:56 p.m. PST

May have to replace some of my motor rifle troops, some of the parts broke off after taking a tumble last night.

I'm working on a motor rifle company as well. I've noticed how brittle the metal alloy is; trying to straighten a bent figure usually results in a broken figure.

specforc1210 Oct 2016 2:29 a.m. PST

lasalle02 -

I look at your large lovely expanse of AFV's plus and think, wow, what did that outlay cost?!? Ouch!!!

- specforc12

Old Wolfman12 Oct 2016 7:29 a.m. PST

Also,a bud of mine bought some Soviets too.

Old Wolfman13 Oct 2016 6:57 a.m. PST

Been painting my partisans lately too. 1 platoon/company so far.

Old Wolfman18 Oct 2016 6:56 a.m. PST

Prepping the second unit for priming. Also looking to get some more BMP's,artillery, and possibly those coming T-64's.

Old Wolfman30 Jan 2017 8:25 a.m. PST

Now I've placed an order for some AA(Shilkas and Gophers),a BM-21"Hail" battery, and some more motor rifle troops.
