Looking to avoid having to make a game board with a ravine type element built in for gaming.

Anyone make such a thing?

I would be using 15mm figures mostly but other sizes are in my collection (30mm, 25mm, 6mm, even 3mm micro-armor) so if there is something suitable for sizes other than 15mm feel free to mention sources, please.

I like the old TSATF method of a ring of cat litter or gravel.

Tiering layers of different colored felt works well. Get a real dark brown (or whatever color) for the lowest level. Layer on a lighter brown for the next, and still lighter for the next. Kind of like a color coded topographic contour map. Three or four layers thick of felt is not too bad, so it is close to being a flat map.

Check out Secret Weapon. They might have something for you

You can also grab some wooden ceiling molding, it's what I'm planning to do for low ridgelines, wadis, and related. say, 1"x2" with a simple angle. 1" is deep enough to hide most 15mm vehicles, even Shermans or Grants.

Stacked cork tiles perhaps?
