As far as I recall, most of the kit we got in the Finnish military was pretty passable, at least in my unit – though with clothing getting pieces that were actually correct size for you could require some effort. Especially since you first had to figure out what was the correct size for you… when we started, everyone in my unit was simply issued a selection of clothes in random sizes, after which you were expected to go around the barracks and trade the items with others to find a better fitting one. And once you got a nicely fitting one, it was not always obvious what size it actually was. I thought that one of my items was size "6" until I went to change it for a clean one – at which point I was informed that the item in question does not exist in that size. It has actually been size 9, but I had read it upside down. |
