Was there any uniformity of pattern in the Cavalry saddles, bridle, and leather equipment during the XVII century, or would each cavalryman procure his own set of equipment?

I believe the officers would have provided their own horse furniture and equipment, those of the troopers would be provided by the Colonel or equivalent, so would probably be fairly standard.

I suspect this would be true of most if not all armies. Of course, in the course of a campaign, things might get less standard!!!

Thank you! So would the colonel purchase the horse furniture and equipment for his men?
