Here are a few pics of my city terrain….lots of different manufacturers stuff all working in harmony. Just glad that I am getting around to doing it.

Looks good to me. Terrain is something, like blue eye shadow, that you can never have enough of ;)

Love the A-Team van of the future!

Need to get to work on mine. Too many projects and not enough time. Keep up the good work.

I have never made a city/table for gaming. You sir, have inspired me to do so.

Zeelow03 Feb 2016 11:13 a.m. PST

Nice work, Twoball: Variety of vehicles and structures and room for big fat hands like mine to maneuver between bldgs. = fun time.

Zematus03 Feb 2016 1:49 p.m. PST

Nice! Love those Crescent Root pre-painted MDF buildings and bases. I had the same idea that throwing a few hi-tech doodads around them would make them fit right in for a sci-fi table.

Twoball Cane03 Feb 2016 4:45 p.m. PST

Hey guys thank you one and all! I will post updates in the next several weeks.

Zematus I love rescent root stuff, my only problem is I am running out of antenocities 15mm doodads….and sadly they are gone from the store.

Micro panzer has great doodads too though.

The table will get better…suited for infinity, necromunda, or gruntz, in 15mm of course

I believe some people swear by Ground Zero Games doodads, but don't touch 'em myself.

I swear by the GZG 'doo-dads'.

I have looked at those gzg doodads but never bought any.

Will they use the term doodads in the UK or something else? If so…what?

Canuckinator04 Feb 2016 8:02 p.m. PST

"Gubbins" is a term I usually associate with stray bits of tech.

Don't forget the electrical supply department of your local DIY store. Do a quick Google search of "electrical box sci fi terrain" and you'll see what I mean.

Would 'greebles' work? I know they tend toward the smallest details, but seems understood cross-briny, and used by professionals.

Doug

Edit: But we did have a LOT of fun with 'doodads.' Sounds like something the cat lady would say. ;->=

I've used some of Micropanzer's gubbins/greebles/doodads in my projects and they are very nice.

Corsec Engineering also has a variety of doors, windows, and vents. They are all cut from plasticard so are pretty flat, but they do look nice, IMHO.

The town of Shishkabob has a criminal element…..and I began work on my syndicate house….I'm using sugar mixed with acrylic and white paint mixed over two coats of the same acrylic paint. It seems close to the crescent root studio house in back, and I am much happier with the sugar than the fine ballast I was using prior. The neon signs are from customeeple. They are for 28mm but I like them for 15s. Will add another shot or two when done….cheers all
