The quality of our miniatures is, to us @ FatMan Productions, a priority! On our process, we first try the 3D's on a basic stance and print to check if quality and all details are looking good! All humanoid models have 0,44mm (They may, however, suffer slight variations depending on each stance). The 3D model:

44mm is an odd size to use. I am personally stuck on Original Traveller and pre-retcon canon, and have been looking for some 40mm-45mm sci-fi minis to use as Sydymic pirates from Ley Sector (Judge's Guild.) I hope they are not too expensive ;-) |

Weird size and weird pose!? Is he supposed to carry his wife's bags during her annual shopping spree? Will they be available separately! :-) But still why 44mm? |

Read the OP for the explanation of the "weird pose." Is "0,44mm" (a fraction of a millimeter) supposed to mean 44 mm? |

Sorry, but 44mm is a game breaker for me. Anything over 35mm starts to look awkward with other lines and requires a special backstory that can be hard to use very often. In today's sizes, 25mm, dwarves and giants all become special players and might not become commonly available in all games and therefore rarely used without serious story help. |

Hi all! Again thank you a lot for your feedback!! In one of the first articles about Awakening: Recon I said that we were using "anatomically proportional" modeling. With no "exagerated" details. And, in order to all of the model details be visible and easily painted, we had to use the 44 mm scale. It sounds weird at first, but when you see the painted miniatures, it will make some sense. We tried the 35 mm, but many details were just to small. We are not the first company to use this mesure for "anatomically proportional miniatures. |

And sure, we all had a laugh at the "0.44 mm"! And that my friends, would be a first at wargaming I guess! :-) |

Fair enough, but the unspoken truth is that the majority of your customers are probably going to be using your miniatures as somehow else… With that in mind, it's best not to deviate from the "standard" scales too much or else you risk losing the… "That more or less looks like my Venusian special forces" sale. It's sad for guys like us that are eager to get our own lines out to the public, but it's the truth nonetheless. |

…That said, you could take your humans down to 28-35mm and leave your aliens at all kinds of sizes and you'll do fine. In fact, I think there's probably a demand for aliens out there since the human market is heavily saturated… Not that it has stopped me from having more commissioned. |
