How useful do you think TMP polls are? There has been some criticism of polls lately, both of the subject matter and the optional answers provided. It reminded me of Henry Ford's famous line "if I had asked my customers what they wanted, they would have replied 'a faster horse' ". Some potential answers: Very useful, it's important to know what people think. Sometimes useful, depends on the poll. Rarely useful, depends on the poll. Henry was right. My horse is just fine. What's a Model T? Bricoles. No opinion, I just want to see the results. |

Wish there was some followup on the polls that are war gaming related – Like the WSS annual survey – might be interesting to see how things evolve – or perhaps from a vendor looking for more information before launching a new set of figures… Categorized – Nonsense, Nice to know, Gaming, etc… Then have to add the "usual extra" – perhaps the consultants guide on how to make a dead horse run faster… |

A poll on a Board for French and Indian Wars passed with the requisite "support" numbers months ago. Still no Boatd. I have no problem with Dear Editor
Not implementing polls that affect his income, but this just a normal clog up TMP poll.

I'll usually look at the polls and if something really interests me I'll even vote. I realize that generally they have little to no effect but I figure WTH? |
