*I make my own battlefields* (so I can vote for that when the subsequent poll is published) … but I saw some nice commercially made ones at Usk last weekend Phil Ancients on the Move |

I need a 9ft x 5ft mat but most of those available seem to be 6x4 or less. |

I have to give another vote for Cigar Box. I posted a few pics of my new ones under the medieval gallery section last week. |

I like Cigar Box mats. I have a 12 x 6 foot table and put three of their large mats together. Once terrain is added everything looks great. |

Reading all the complaints about non-delivery of gaming mats over the last 10+ years on TMP I'm wondering if the best ones are the ones that actually show up after you've paid for them and waited months on end. |

Not really a mat, but I've been using a folding terrain board from War-Zone for over ten years, and I'm still very happy with it. |

Cigar Box and I've never had the slightest hiccup in speed of delivery. I also love my naval Fat Mat. |

I have Cigar Box. But I recently came upon this site. Has anyone tried them? tinywargames.co.uk |

I use Monday Knight Productions' mats and like them. I did give them a couple of coats of Woodland Scenics Scenic Cement to keep the flocking from shedding. I also used some fabric spray paint to lighten them up and give a somewhat mottled look. I have probably had them for seven or eight years and they are in fine shape. Tom |

Never tried Cigar Box, but I have a cloth 4x6 Deep-Cut Studio "Plains" mat, and a 4x4 F.A.T. Mat "Urban Combat 2" cobblestone streets. Both are excellent. The F.A.T. Mat is like a huge mouse pad, and Noble Knight carries them at a discount. Noble Knight's service is excellent, and Deep-Cut Studio's overseas shipment to me in the States was very reasonable in both time and cost. Very satisfied. |

Oabee51--do you like the look/feel of the mousepad material with your games? I have seen a couple of mats, ones with streets and grass for an urban scenario, that I like but am nervous that the mousepad material will not look good with my buildings and troops (28mm). |

It's not quite as vivid as my cloth mat from Deep-Cut, but it's a dream to transport and rolls out easily. Here it is in action in a Steampunk Pulp Alley game at WinterCon2016 (Detroit). The texture is visible up close (first photo) but not noticeable at normal viewing distance (second photo).

After listening to recomendations here at TMP I went to a local fabric store, and bought some low knap fleece. They were having a sale and I got a military discount. I will do it again when I decide to get a second terrain. |

I have 3 from deep cut studios, excellent product and a large range. I have another on order and have ordered mats for 5 others from our club after seeing mine in action at our games weekend. |

Commercially available = Hotz Mats. Love their Roman Seas mats with the muted hex grid. Will very likely go with them for RIvets mats if I manage to figure out how to 3D print Boppers. |
