So I got some croissanwiches at Burger King today and a coffee at Turkey Hill. " (The croissanwiches at Turkey … suck.) As I was examining my6 pocket change tonight, I noticed that there were THREE 2015 commemorative quarters with a theme of the British surrender at Saratoga. Neat-o!
Obviously, Granny Gates is touching ceremoniously the hilt in a token of acceptance of Burgoyne surrendring his sword, but modified to fit artistically on a coin.

His name was Wilkinson, not Wilkerson, a common error even here in Mississippi where we actually have a county named for the traitor. Jim |
