Do you guys get nervous every release, or just the first one? It's my first release…and lordy, I am ready to run screaming around the room. Thoughts? Opinions? Name of a good whiskey? |

Perfectly normal. Pour yourself a stiff one. I reccomend A good 10 yr old single malt. |

Though Macallan is a whisky, no? |

Every time…every…damned…time. And releases you think will do well, don't. Then a quick throwaway to keep your product line alive takes off. A career in civil service and academia did not prepare me for those Mothra sized butterflies. |

Glen Morangie 18 – which I am sampling right now. The MacAllan 18 is fantastic but too much for my wallet. My wonderful wife told me to treat myself with the Glen Morangie. A fine woman she is! |

I find that preparing a release is more stressful than actually releasing it, since I tend to want everything to be "just so" before anyone else sees my work. Once I'm confident that it's ready, I don't feel at all nervous about how it will be received. I usually reward myself with a couple fingers of good whiskey once I'm done, though (no, two Irish fingers; you know . . . spread 'em out a bit). Tyrconnell if I'm feeling Irish, Balvenie if Scotch seems appropriate, Jefferson's if I'm in a bourbon mood. |

Nervous, wondering if I should toss the entire thing out and start again, "Who would buy this when they already got 12 games of the same kind", then log off the internet and go play video games for a few hours after uploading the file. On the upside, I do have a victory song for when a PDF is finished. |
