I would appreciate it, if anyone could give me a source for 1/2 inch hex paper (large sheets if possible)

I have a downloaded hex pattern that I have scaled up and down as needed… I think it is something like 19 x 25 hexes. If you are looking for a DYI there are free hex images out there. Mine is not proprietary, so I could always send you one.

Check Google Images.

You might find what you want there.

I think someone posted a link here a few years ago to print your own because I had saved it on my computer which is not working

The big office supply stores can print whatever you want (that's not protected by copyright) on large sheets. And there are several software freebies that can produce the image.

You'd need to plan with the store as to what formats they require. And keep in mind that most people wouldn't be sure of what you mean by ½" hexes (flat-to-flat or point-to-point.)

Here is an online link that will create hex paper in any size you like – give it your requirements and get a free PDF to download. I've used it several times.

I got a 30 inch by 12 foot roll of 1 inch hexes from gamingpaper.com You should also be able to get it from Miniature Market.

Another endorsement for Incompetech that Extra Crispy posted. Easy to work with.
