Does anyone make 6mm SCW figures and vehicles? GHQ and CinC don't seem to make any, although if I work at it, I might find some WW2 figures that I can pass off as Spanish. I might also find some WW2 vehicles that would work, but I would need a list to work from.

Irregular do a dedicated SCW range – as is often the case with their stuff it tends to look pretty rough in the flesh, but paint up much better than you'd guess.

Might need to adapt ww1 and ww2 guys.

Panzer 1's, T26, BT's and such you can obviously get from the relevant ww2 ranges.

As Weasel says, a mix of WW1 and WW2 stuff, along with Irregulars range. A lot of SCW stuff is pretty generic in any case, and in 6mm as long as the hats look roughly right…

I have painted the SCW range from Irregular for a customer some years back. Although there are some figures that I'd stay away from if I were to do them again (mostly cavalry – some are OK others, less so), the majority are good. They may need a bit more effort than other ranges in cleaning up but come out well in the end.

A few samples of the first batch I did here …

If you are prepared to go up a scale then Pendraken do an excellent and very complete range in 10mm.

GildasFacit, I think your figures look pretty good. I have a distressing habit when I paint 6mm figures. I paint them, and then look at them real close and find something I don't like. But then I base them, sit at the edge of the table and look at them, and I cannot see the part I didn't like. I would not go so far as to say I just slop through them now, but I'm a whole lot less concerned about details that I'm not going to be able to see from 3 feet, and I take some liberties in using colors for backpacks and the like that stand out a little more than they might in real life.

I liked the irregular 6mm scw a lot. Vehicles, depends. The home-made "tanks" are excellent IMHO, but I also got some russian stuff, like the B6, which are very small and frankly ugly. The italian tankettes are nice. For infantry I got regulares and militia and I find them quite cool (and cheap)

That is the perfect approach to Irregular figures. Make sure that you get the contrasts between the parts of the figure right and don't worry too much about the exact colouring.

Basing is more important the smaller the figures get. Having a superbly painted 28mm figure on a bit of cereal box card painted green is a bit of a disappointment but do that with a base of 6mm figures and it ruins them.
