All,

For the next installment on my 15mm side project, we have more Eureka Miniatures modern troops, this time Russians. They are fantastic sculpts, very clean and crisp, little flash to remove, and they paint up quick and easy, particularly given the simple camo paintjob I did on their uniforms. The camo looks good to me, looks like uniforms I've seen, and was a break after putting Multicam on the Australians, which I kinda owed myself ;)

The whole force, 21 troops supported by a Zvezda 1/100 scale BTR. The 21 troops come from a one man leader pack, a four-man MG pack, a two-man grenadier pack, a two-man RPG pack, and the remaining 12 rifleman are from two duplicate packs of 6 men. To see a bunch more pics of the individual poses, please check the blog at:

Well, that's these guys. I've got one more post for troops (Eureka Chechens), and I have one more batrep I still haven't typed up. I will do my best to get off my butt, but I've been busy as heck lately.

V/R,
Jack

Cool! Like the BTR 80 as well.

I have a platoon each of these guys and the Chechens I need to paint up for my Twilight 2000 project. They match up well with Peter Pig's AK-47 line. Most other new lines including Odzial Osmy (beautiful figs!) run big in comparison. I wish Peter Pig would add a couple of packs of militia with SKS rifles.

Very nice figures indeed.

Agree with Rory, more figures with SKS would be fantastic.

More fine brush work from my favorite jarhead. Man, you're really shaming me into picking up the brush. Those guys turned out great! I didn't care for the fur on the uniforms, but otherwise they look fantastic. I guess I'll keep mine and paint them up afterall. Just mine the PK barrels. One of mine broke off.

Hey, thanks everyone, I appreciate the kind words and I'm you like them. I'm looking to get them (along with the Aussies and Chechens, whom I still need to post) on the table here in the next couple weeks, actually get some games in!

And I just received a bunch of Peter Pig WWII US Marines, so yet another project…

TGunner – I didn't have any barrel problems in this pack, but I lost a couple Steyr barrels in the Aussie pack and a couple AK barrels in the Chechen pack, though those were really my fault for not being careful enough when removing some flash.

V/R,
Jack
