I will be moving to Colorado Springs this summer while I build about a hour west of there (Divide/Flourissant/Cripple CreekTeller/Park County area).

I know there is at least one store with some historical and sci fi/VSF but are there clubs, groups or other gaming in the area?

Hi

You have the CSGA Colorado Springs Gaming Assc

link

and The CMH Colorado Military Historians in Denver.

There are 2-3 Cons in Denver too.

CMH is more in the Denver area and is fairly active

Gamer's Haven in Colorado Springs has a relatively regular, if small, historicals group on Tuesdays (which is also Malifaux night) and a larger but more irregular group that does historicals and FoW on Sunday mornings. CSGA meets Saturday nights at a police station and is also mostly historical.

I don't know of anyone closer to Teller County, but if you're moving to Florissant you should probably get used to the drive anyway… At the very least I would stop by CSGA on a Saturday night, that group is big enough that there might be someone there from out your way looking for a closer opponent.

Thank you gentlemen. The actual town is Guffey (and I'll be in the suburbs on Witcher Mountain) which makes Flourissant look like New York City but I assumed most gaming will involve a drive to Denver or Colorado Springs.

The club links look promising and two good games a month plus some Cons are fine by me.

Wow, that's pretty remote- you're not too far as the crow flies, but the roads are kind of pointing in the wrong direction. I've always wondered what people do in that part of the state, so if you don't mind my asking, what brings you out there?

I don't know if there's anything in Caņon City, but that looks like it might be a little easier to get to.

I'm retiring next year and my Firm is OK with me telecommuting or flying to wherever I need to be as I wind down things and transition roles. I was going to wait until I retired but once they said I can work wherever, I already had the land so what the heck. I have a son at Carson (deployed at the moment) and should have a grandchild out there soon plus we love the area (hiking, fishing etc.) plus the property is at 9000 feet and we won't be able to see a neighbor from the front deck but do look straight east at Pikes Peak.

Canon City is about 45 minutes away as is Woodland Park. Colorado Springs is about an hour away depending on weather coming through Ute Pass on 24.

A couple different folks who lived up in the mountains somewhere have driven down to Colorado Springs to game with us once or twice, so there may be somebody nearer.

I have a place in Grand Lake that I visit a couple times a year and am in and out of Denver as well . These links may come in handy for me as well .
