"The wargame version of the old joke" Topic

We all know the old joke about tripping and accidentally falling and you know, excuse for cheating.

I just did the wargame equivalent.

I was just going to order some yari spears for my samuraithe.
And i "accidentally" orderd a box of perry plastic russians.

I had a friend once who meant to order T-62s for a Cold War campaign.

Instead, he ordered T-26s…

That's not a problem, just attack with your tanks in reverse.

I once spent an hour or two helping a noob put together a shopping list for his new army. Lots of phone calls and emails working how many of pack X, how many of pack Y.

THEN he realized the packs we were ordering were off by a century. Luckily I hadn't placed the order with the manufacturer yet…

I thought you meant "accidentally" as in, "I don't know how those Oreos got in the shopping cart, honey. I guess they fell off the shelf when you weren't looking. Too bad she already scanned them …"

I also almost "accidentally" bought 4 perry prussian cassions and 12 HYW mounted knights.

But i thought that an order that was suppose to be £8.00 GBP and ended up as £150.00 GBP might be a bit overboard.

So instead my £8.00 GBP order ended up as a £29.00 GBP order, which was much more reasonable.
