And here I thought it was going to be a rant about the stats.

Good to know that they're good models.

I just finished my first 10 BMP's. Overall I liked them but my aging eyes and sausage fingers found the smoke dischargers to be a royal pain in the butt.

They aren't "hard" to build…but I too found things sometimes fiddly. On the T-72s, it's the smoke dischargers and the (what I assume) is an IR sight next to the main gun. On the M1s it's the stowage racks and the .50 cal.

Failing that, then suture clamps avoid small bits skittering about.

The T72, Abrams, and Cobra were fun to assemble. The Hind was not a joy and I would say a little frustrating. Now just to finish painting the base sets and play a match.

As Weland notes, the Cobra was fairly simple to put together. However, there's one item that people might want to be aware of. Because the aircraft is hollow, it's possible to look through one of the air intakes behind the cockpit, and see daylight through the opposite one. If this is a concern, you might want to put something in between the two intakes.

I glued styrene in the cobra and made sure to paint it black. The mine ploughs were not as hard as I thought to fix with magnets. The pieces I found to be the most frustrating so far were the M106 and M163. The mortar base plate overlaps the side skirt and the M163 top deck is a millimeter too small from front to rear.

So far I have assembled and painted 20 T72s, 3 Hinds, 6 M1s, 6 M106s, 4 M163s, and 2 Cobras.

@kyoteblue,

The mine ploughs get placed on the lower hull so that the plough itself is in front of the tracks. I mounted mine by glueing magnets to the inside of the hull and making the ploughs fixed on a piece of styrene. If you do facebook search for the name David Garvin. He posted how he did it with pictures.
