I have a collection of NATO/WARPAC in 6mm.I know that some folks are playing with this scale. Most of my stuff is early to mid 80s,with M60s and BTRs 60s. Does the Team Yankee rule book come with values for these units?

"China's military may send troops to join the global conflict against Islamic State terrorists, according to defense officials.

Beijing is said to be concerned about the growing number of Chinese-origin terrorists who have joined the Islamic State, also known as ISIL and ISIS.

"The real question is whose side will they be on," said one defense official familiar with internal discussion of the Chinese military role.

Rather than cooperating with the U.S.-led military coalition now operating against the Islamic State in Syria, Iraq and other locations, the Chinese military is more likely to join forces with Russia's military, currently engaged in a large-scale bombing campaign in Syria…"

The Chinese Foreign office has publicly come out and say that they are not aware of any reports of China becoming involved in the war against the Islamic State …. "Beijing 'Unaware' of Reports on China Joining Anti-Daesh Campaign (Sputnik)".
link

But what is interesting about this report is that the Chinese FO spokesman is not denying it …. just saying that he is unaware of it. we can suspect that the Chinese are now having an internal debate on getting involved …. but before making any public announcement they are examining the options that are available and what they can contribute, the consequences from such an involvement, the political support and/or opposition that they may receive (both internally and externally), and what time limit and/or exit strategy should be employed. President Xi is travelling to the Middle East at the end of this month. One of his stops is Iran, where I willing to wager that such an involvement will be brought up. As to when will China announce that they will join the anti-Islamic State coalition … I give it to the end of February. If there is no announcement …. that will then tell me that they have decided to not get involved (for now).

China won't fight in the Middle East against terrorism. No profit from it, just high chances of losing troops, treasure and prestige.

Almost nothing is reported about terrorist or rebellion activities in China, but I'm not aware of any events where people used more than knives in their attacks.

Any international involvement would only invite escalation internally.

those Islamist are so stupid that, thinking they are acting vs similar foes of Europeans/US ecc.. they 'll dare also to provoke China..after they did with Russia and have their fingers burned accordingly…

The Chinese have serious economic concerns at this point and even if they didn't. Highly doubtful, they'd get involved …

The U.S. should have heeded similar advice decades ago.

Soon as DAESH starts making trouble in China, I bet we will see China drop some king-sized boots in Syria.

We could only hope …

Yep, but think of China as pre-Arab Spring, with the govt. putting a heavy boot on the necks of its minorities. Even minor dissent is stomped out brutally. Remember Tiananmen?

China differs in that there are no weapons available (just knives, sometimes explosives), but the main difference is that most of their muslims look substantially different than the majority Han Chinese. Besides some token representation and travel, most of their muslims are relegated to remote provinces and not allowed to travel. Believe me, it's easy to spot a Uighur in a crowd, -not Chinese, not European looking.

Unlike the Middle East, or even the West, there are not enough muslims to be a "existential" threat to China. Because of this, they will likely just absorb any domestic attacks and, wisely, stay out of the entire Middle East fray.

(They will continue to work at heavy handed repression behind the scenes and far away from the eyes of Western journalists.)

But take note my friend that China has very heavy interests in Africa… and there… the Muslims are working hard…!

For the op's question;
Looked at it at the FLGS today.
Negative sir. The only vehicles are the ones from the book. US has M1 (105mm) and M113 based vehicles. Soviets have t72 and bmp1 plus since support stuff.
I'm sure you could extrapolate if you wanted.

So, if I follow this thread correctly the issue is, "Will China militarily intervene in Syria on behalf of the Assad Regime using 6mm micro armour from the mid-1980's with uncertain movement capabilities and following the international accepted rules of war known as TY". My the bug can create some interesting hypothetical situations through cross-pollination of threads!
Cheers and good luck!
Rod Robertson.
