"Han Dynasty Chinese swordsmen with parrying weapons. These can be bought as: an element of four figures with a 20 mm x 40 mm base, a pack of eight figures or a FOG battlegroup of twenty four infantry."

What's the present understanding on these. Wasn't there a view that the parrying weapon was in fact a shield depicted edge-on.

Hadn't heard that evilgong, but it makes sense.

Could be a bit of conversion work in the future if so…

The iron parrying weapon has turned up archaeologically – it's called gouxiang. There are photos in the discussion threads at link and link
