I have recently built a couple of 1809 French foot batteries based upon the superb Westfalia Gribeauval 8 pounders. However, there are currently no 6 inch howitzers to match. I do not want to use the An XI howitzer so can anyone recommend a model maker who produces a 28mm piece that will match the Westfalia guns? |

Now I know why you have that nomme de plume. Agree the Westphalia 8pdr is remarkable, but I doubt many of us would be able to tell a 6ins howitzer from an An XI. Stubby little barrel on a well built split trail carriage would be my limit of knowledge. But that is what a special interest is all about! Best bet is ask Niels, Kawe and their mates to make you one. They have been quiet recently on the Napoleonic front! |

I know, it's in the blood. But would you put bicorne wearing French infantry on the field of Waterloo? Same thing for gunners. I have been in touch with Kawe and there are lots of other things in the programme with higher priorities though he did say that they aught to make one …. eventually. In the meantime….. |
