My first painted miniatures of 2016 and the first of what looks like being a great new near-future range from GZG.

I have a few more photos in my blog, and the next Moongrunt unit (Chinese) is well on the way…

Happy new year all

Nice!

Those new GZG figs?

Ralph Plowman03 Jan 2016 4:03 a.m. PST

Thanks!
Yes, they're from the new range called Moongrunt. It's listed with their 15mm Stargrunt miniatures.

Brilliant figures and superb paint job

Friggin' awesome, both sculpts and pj!

Jon had been asking the ancient mail list for suggestions for names for the grunt units. Got pretty silly. ;->=

Reminds me VERY slightly of the Next Gen Q-flash back to the soldiers of WWIII. They didn't have their faces covered, silly boys.

This is the first set of figures I've wanted to buy since I started my own range. Very impressed ….jealous in fact :)

Von Trinkenessen03 Jan 2016 1:43 p.m. PST

My complements Ralph, you've put life into those figures.

Thanks chaps!
I can't wait to see which way Jon goes with this range. There's something quite James Bond about them.
I'm not aware of many figures in full vacc suit. I think GZG has the only others I know of!

Buckeye AKA Darryl04 Jan 2016 5:50 a.m. PST

Wow, great paint work there! I really like your brush work.

I also believe that RAFM have vacc suit figures as well, at least these figures were packaged that way back in the day:

Very impressed ….jealous in fact :)

I'll be sure to tell Jon. ;->=

Darryl: I don't think those are available; maybe the old Traveller range? More's the pity!

Those RAFM figs are still on their website. Code RAF07022 for $5.95 USD.

Ralph Plowman04 Jan 2016 8:20 a.m. PST

Aren't the old Traveller figures proper 15mm?
They're great, but possibly a bit small.
(A few would always mix in well though)

That's ok if they're small, they're Vilani!

BTW, great painting, like them a lot!

Ralph Plowman04 Jan 2016 9:15 a.m. PST

Thank you.
I suppose the real problem (if you can call it that), is that I'd have to order a lot of figures to justify the postage from the US and possible customs charge.
But then, I don't have many figures to paint…
…oh, wait…

TheBeast Supporting Member of TMP04 Jan 2016 10:30 a.m. PST

Code RAF07022

Oh, rats! I looked. REALLY I did!

Ah, I saw 15mm, and thought that's what I was looking at rather than a subcategory to click. Dopey moi!

But then, I don't have many figures to paint…

Don't EVEN joke about that, or someone like myself will be shipping figs as two for one. 'You paint two, I take my preference…' ;->=

I've just added pictures of the Chinese Lunar Troops to my blog.
I think might be the first time I've managed to paint an entire range!

I've just seen the new US marine in this range with a shoulder launched bazooka type weapon.

It's great!

What ever will I do with this voucher that came with my GZG Christmas order?
Let's hope they're out by the time it runs out!
