1). If vox populi express immediate support, run the poll NOW and implement it ASAP. I'm still waiting for the French and Indian Wars board that passed the requirements poll many moons ago. |

I'm going to go with 1. If there's enough support why not make a board. |

Oh, I thought you meant something like the 4' X 3' board I made for my Saga games, which folds in two, is covered with green felt, and really is rather nice. Still, thinking about Saga, there was quite a bit of buzz about it before it really came out, and in my group, some of us knew we'd have to try it out. I think the same was happening with Frostgrave, though I don't play that. Many of the rules companies are one or two man shops, who don't have the manpower to devote to such sales efforts. However, we are seeing larger companies get involved, folks who might be able to get people interested in ordering before something comes out. The sort of thing you expect from Hollywood. Maybe, given that, there is some wisdom in not immediately creating a board for a game which might well go down the tubes in a matter of weeks. Grelber Just a thought . . .

"Should A Game Be Out A While Before Making A Board For It?" At least 5 years I should think… |

Most games drop from popularity long before 5 years – we are a fickle… Squirrel! How do plan to track posts to determine viability? Orphan boards have a "delete" standard already I thought? |
Mute Bystander | 03 Jan 2016 6:45 a.m. PST |
Winston Smith/John the OFM, I really don't think that is likely. Maybe not even possible. |

Definitely 1. If there are enough folks who want to discuss it and want a board for it, give it a board. That has proven to generate more discussions. |

If someone has had ideas about possibly designing such a game, it's time for a board. |
Winston Smith | 04 Jan 2016 9:31 p.m. PST |
Vince, that means we need a board for Flames of Liberty. |

I'd say a minimum of 100 years before a new board is created. |
