Didn't anyone see this? Or did I come in too late? Somebody must have done a game,I'd like to hear how that went.

And isn't there some talk of a sequel?

You mean this movie?

It was a fun flick. Getting the miniatures shouldn't be too hard for the different versions of trolls.

I was trying to think how you would game it.

Loved the movie – surprisingly well done (or is that a bias I detect…)

Yes, it was a very pleasant surprise. Great fun.

I agree. At first, I wasn't expecting much, but it turned out to be pretty good. I enjoyed it!

Couple of year ago we did an Xmas Files game where teams of investigators ranged over a Santa Preserve (see the film Rare Exports) that had been ransacked by Trolls.

It was silly and fun, the carnivorous reindeer were a bit unexpected though.

Loved the film Troll Hunter. It was far better than I expected it to be and was at times humorous, frighting, and sad, sometimes within the same minute. It would be fun to see a war game setting.

I agree, a very pleasant surprise I came across while trolling Netflix, so to speak.

Liked it myself. You may enjoy "Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale"

Well I see more people are interested in trolls than royal swiss.
Started with low expectations also, especially since the beginning lead me to dread another Blair Witch clone.Quickly picked up,though, and good effects came as a surprise.

There's an app game,in which you buy gear for trollhunting, and get paid for dead trolls, presumably by the Norwegian government. You could structure a game that way, though I can't imagine any trollhunter not already being armed to the eyeballs BEFORE contemplating going after them.
But then a lot of RPGS are done that way.

Seems like a little laser pointer would work, but then I don't really know much about trolls. My brother, who alerted me to this film, has a Norwegian friend who says it's fairly accurate.

MHoxie, thanks for the heads up on Rare Exports. Going on My list.
