Unlike last year when we had to wait until March for the annual preview, Battlefront has given us this year's preview… TODAY!

My thoughts on the blog: link

Ye gods, that damn FoW website still takes forever to load…

Interesting that the Pacific is getting the v1 style of a separate book for each army/nation. That does give a third release later on for the US Army, though the Marines got the lion's share of the news coverage. And I see Corsairs flying in support of the Marines!!!

In an earlier interview (I think it was on Beasts of War), an upcoming recon project was mentioned. Unfortunately, no further details were provided. The list of upcoming products mentions an unidentified Late War book. My guess is that this book is slated to be part of the recon release that they mentioned in the interview.

BAOR and Bundeswehr for Team Yankee! Nice!!!

Really going to need T80s and T64s then.

My guess is that as we see new NATO countries added we will see the WARSAW PACT troops expand as well. Probably T-80's, T-64's, BTR's etc.

It will be interesting to see where they go with TY – since you can already build a 120mm M1A1 Abrams out of the box…

carne6801 Jan 2016 4:14 a.m. PST

My guess is that a Bradley and BTR-60/70/80? will come out this year.

If BF is smart they will let us know. Otherwise people will go with Zvezda.

No more Vietnam…?

ubercommando02 Jan 2016 4:29 p.m. PST

They had me at the F4U Corsair. Take my money….

It might be wishful thinking- and I am enthusiastically waiting for those Pacific books, but yes, a later US Army book along with covering the Commonwealth forces would be nice.

ScottS,

Won't be the first year that they haven't had a Vietnam release. There was a two year gap between the release of Tour of Duty and Brown Water Navy. This year, the issue probably comes down to whatever has been causing the delays in getting kits out.

ScottS09 Jan 2016 3:24 p.m. PST

True, fair point.

I'm still hoping to see USMC / Hue City some day…
