I finished three regiments of British Light Dragoons this month, all Old Glory 25mm figures with GMB flags. I see my friend Armand has beaten me to posting the first two, but I'll include them further down with a few comments on each post.

The 22nd Light Dragoons, which didn't serve in the European theater. Evidently, the units Pink facings (1812-15) were unpopular, but I think they look great. This post includes 2 tables of facing colors for all of the Light Dragoon regiments for 1803 – 1811, and 1812 – 1815.

The 23rd Light Dragoon, with Crimson facings. This unit had a spectacular performance at the Battle of Talavera in 1809.

The 13th Light Dragoons. This post has the story of some hasty criticism of their actions at Campo Mayor by Wellington, based upon misleading information supplied by Bresford and Long, which provoked controversy for years afterwards. In the comments section is an amusing wargamer's tale by Dick Bryant of his own under-performing 13th LD, and how he motivated them to up their game! I* respond in kind with the story of "The Garbage Battalion".

BTW, the blog passed 400,000 page views this month (a substantial portion probably by Russian bots, but hey – hope they enjoyed all the reading and pics!)
