Great post! Many thanks. An obvious addition to the must visit list – especially if it has a shop!!!
Thanks again and kind regards

Glad to hear it has a shop now – I was very disappointed that it didn't when I was there in 2012.

My favourite exhibit was the splendid Gruson Panzerfahrlafette

Great photos, O Konstantinos!
When I visited in 2004, they not only didn't have a gift shop, they wouldn't let me take photos inside. I did get photos of the artillery outside, and the replica Farman plane. I'm sure I need to go back!
I've saved your photo of the Dervish shield. I couldn't figure out why they had it, but I did appreciate getting to see the shield.

I can imagine myself going there but find it hard to imagine leaving it!

The Bronze Age stuff was the pick for me but it's clearly an outstanding museum.

Konstantinos,
did you notice if any of the books were on the 18th century – dress and weaponry?
Thanks and regards

Chokidar, for that you would be better off looking at the National Historical Museum. I think there were some. (I have a thread for that somewhere, and if you click on the museum's label on my blog you can see the post there.)

Thank you very much for taking the time to respond, most kind. I shall try that straight away.
Thanks again and kind regards

Thanks for the photos. Nice-looking museum, although, sadly, the old-style display case glass really picks up the glare and reflections, but certainly comprehensive coverage.
