I know, I know, it's just easier to get a budget from the Missus, go over it by 50%, and ask her to wrap it up for Christmas Day, but what special things did your loved ones everyone get for Christmas?

For me, the best gift was discovering, after nine years of marriage, if I give my wife an Amazon wishlist of any size, that she will order EVERYTHING off of it. I'm hoping to sit in my comfy chair next to the tree tonight and continue reading my new library of books to the sound of sleet on the window, and with a Mad Elf at the ready.

Spielberger book on Heavy Jagdpanzers (been reading the Jagdpanther section most recently)

House Kurita sourcebook for Battletech

Field Manual: SLDF also for Battletech

And with some of the money I got from other relatives, picked up Algoryn Armored Infantry and support weapon boxes/blisters for Beyond the Gates of Antares. On my workbench now.

Damon.

@David Manley: are those llamas or alpacas? They are so cute!

I got nothing gaming-related, but I did get a couple BSG model kits from my kids, and my ex-wife got me a good amount of ammo (.357, .22LR, and some 12ga).

OldGrenadier at work28 Dec 2015 1:19 p.m. PST

I got a burned out dryer in 1:1 scale. Not real useful on the gaming table…

Javelin98, did you have much trouble dodging the ammo your ex sent your way? :)

Prince Rupert of the Rhine28 Dec 2015 1:41 p.m. PST

An osprey on the portugese conquests, another one about the baltic during WW2and the black ops rules. Plus season 1 and 2 of banshee on DVD …….and a spice rack from the wife.

Buff Orpington28 Dec 2015 1:58 p.m. PST

I got Dragon Rampant.
This is met favourably by the Fates. DR allows you to field flying units of light cavalry and large warbeasts with a ranged attack. Yesterday a long neglected box in the garage slipped onto the floor. In it were 2 Zvezda kits, light elven cavalry on pegasi and a rock throwing giant lizard.

evilgong28 Dec 2015 2:04 p.m. PST

What I received from my dearly beloved this Christmas: Both 1940 Axis and Allies (Europe and Pacific)released in 2010 or 2012? <nostalgia> Space Hulk Game (which I just painted in record time) <more nostalgia> War Generation DvD, PS4 BattleFront and several books I really wanted (Religious and War included…ok I really enjoy my Catholic mystical theology alright :)

Last but not least the news that I am cleared of cancer and my wife is expecting again :) (both right before Christmas)

It's getting time to enjoy any of the toys that's the selfish problem ; between putting together the kids toys and then participating in actual real socializing activities (Bah Humbug)I actually got some time to myself last night and fell asleep in 10 mins

Garand28 Dec 2015 3:53 p.m. PST
