I love these aliens. The prices are steep though.

Pricing is always difficult when it comes to miniatures because it's very likely that you won't make your money back no matter what.

Price them at five bucks a pop and you are practically giving them away unless you sculpt it yourself

Price it.t $12 USD a piece and no one will buy it.

GW brings out a plastic space marine commander for $25 USD and people will horde the things.

@Blacksmith: Are you buying 100 minis per side? Then yes, 7.50 a mini is steep.

What happens when you're buying ONE mini of each type per side, though? Then price is less of an issue for the buyer, but the small demand jacks up the price required by the maker to break even quickly. If it costs $1,500 USD to design and cast a mini and the mold will last for 100 casts, the maker needs to charge $15 USD per mini just to break even. If you want to make a 20% return on investment (typical for US business plans), that's $18 a mini. I haven't even touched on the ability of demand to drive down prices yet.

Granted, I play Infinity and played GW before this, so I'm less shocked by individual mini prices, but 30GBP for 4 minis isn't obscenely out of line for characters.
