Aleran are usually the best place to start for 1/72 WW2 decals. For the Crocodiles it's worth noting that photos often show no markings whatsoever though. |

Have a look @ Dan Taylors modelworks. He has a decal sheet that covers Churchill's in NW Europe. |

I agree with Steve, Dan Taylor is the place to look, although they are quite pricey. |

I use Dom's Decals. They are however 15mm, but in my view they work ok on 1/76 and 1/72. Specific 1/72 decals can look very big. You do get a lot for your money, but opinions on this compromise may differ. Perhaps wise to order a pack or two and see how they look. |

I'm wanting to decal up both my 11th Armoured Div stuff & my 6th Guards Tank Brigade (lots of loverly Churchills :-) ) I'm doing S Squadron at a scale of 1:1 I'm going to be using Dom's Decals for these (one of the guys from our club has already got some & the 15mm look reasonably ok on 1/72 tanks (& I can't be bothered to wait for Dom to release the 1/72 version, if he ever does… hint! hint!) The other advantage of using Dom's, especially if,like me, you have LOTS of stuff to do is that you get plenty of decals per sheet, not just enough for half a dozen vehicles BUT, one thing that I would like is to have a set of decals for all of the names of the tanks in S Squadron… I did think of printing black border with white text on some clear sticky labels & then placing these over a white paint block on the tank… but proper decals would be so much better… |
