I had my first try at the new Zombicide: Black Plague game last night. I've put down a few thoughts on it on my blog.

Quick summary: I hated the Original Zombicide but I really enjoyed Black Plague.

We tried it out last night too! We had 4 players and ran through the tutorial, in which we had to get the mage to a magic circle so he could teleport us all out. It was a lot of fun.

I have my copy and am reading the rules during slow parts of the Day at work. I am going to set up a game for tonight.

Got through the first 2 last weekend…more fun then Z-Cide classic. Can not wait to get the rest of my order after the first of the year.

I love all versions of Zombicide but Black Plague takes the game to new heights. Pure perfection!

I picked up this game back on August 14 and took it to Dragonflight this last weekend.

Was able to get in two games.

The first was a five player game and used the mission where we had to get all of the objectives.

Well things went to crap when a player opened a nearby door and spawned a Necromancer and then a Double Spawn followed by another Double Spawn.

Well the only thing that was saving us was that we were still all in the blue. But after several more double spawns and more Necromancers it was looking bad.

But we killed off all of the Necromancers so we were able to shut down several of the spawns and things were looking up.

No one was dead but things changed for the worst when after a few more Double Spawns and another Necromancer when we had individuals in the Orange.

Basically, we had nearly all of the Zombies on the board and several extra activations and we started to lose Hero after Hero, starting with Silas the Elf.

But Nelly saved the day when she was able to slip past the horde of Zombies and get in to the room with the last objective.

But every other Hero had died a horrible death.

The 2nd game playing the 2nd scenario went far better. The Mission was to find the Lab and kill the Necromancer and the Abomination.

Well we decided to open up the building with the most room so that it would be out of the way.

It also had three of the six objectives.

So we went in and boom a Necromancer showed up who did not last long, also showing up was the Abomination.

So one of the players got the first objective and nothing and then Samson the Dwarf went after the 2nd and bang there was the Lab.

So after another Necromancer who died all we needed to do was kill the big guy.

Which after finding Dragon Bile and a Torch he went down quickly.

Great game and it sucks that I missed out on the Kickstarter for it.

It is fun…my wife and I played it again this weekend.
